Amplified Media is a videography and photography firm here in Asheville, well-known for making compelling video narrative and helping local brands to share their messages through authentic visual storytelling. Amplified Media partnered with our firm to implement new SEO and content strategies.
Specific aims of our partnership included:
Generating an increase in organic traffic
Increasing search presence for non-branded keywords
Discovering and attuning marketing strategy to Amplified's target audiences
Generating brand clarity with a bank of of focused, specific language explaining Amplified Media’s history, offerings, and expertise.
Strengthening their brand’s overall online presence and messaging
We began working toward our goals by conducting demographic and keyword research in tandem with the development of Amplified Media’s brand’s voice. The brand discovery process was informed largely by meetings with the Amplified team. In these meetings, we consulted on the brand’s architecture and created a foundational brand story and language describing the team’s values, expertise, uniqueness, and incredible offerings. We wrote staff biographies, clarified the company’s mission statement and tagline, and ideated trending topics to include in their editorial (blogging) calendar and social media schedule. The company’s language greatly benefited from the research we’d conducted, including a site audit, competitor analysis, and keyword research, in addition to the development target persona segments and the pairing of key terms to buyers’ journeys.
We decided that Amplified Media needed to be characterized as storytellers and invested community collaborators throughout their new content, rather than as a simple, deliverables-based production firm. With the operational language and a strategic vision in place, we created new blog content, updated the “evergreen” web content, and began work to refresh the portfolio page with updated videos & reviews. Our work also included the optimization of on-site title tags and meta descriptions.

After updating existing pages, generating new content, and integrating new research-informed metadata on the site & blog, Amplified saw a jump in non-branded keyword rankings (aka keyword searches without “Amplified Media” in them). As these rankings increased, so did Amplified’s organic search presence! Our updates to the Amplified Media & StoryShare sites brings inquiries from highly qualified potential clients.
