Where we started
“But what do you really want to do?” Casey’s husband Dan once asked her. On a train. In Europe. On their honeymoon. (So romantic, right?) Which is when Casey first confessed that she had secret notebooks full of ideas on starting an agency that did things differently. Dan smiled: “You have to do this. I believe in you, and I would love to help.” And here we are, 5 years strong and learning more every day.
How we’re special
We’re a collaborative team that works hard to support and empower our clients and each other — no one is on an island here. Our approach is transparent, sustainable, and selective — and we aim to produce only work we can feel proud of. We work exclusively with clients who align with our values: we’ve found it makes everyone happier. MLD fills the need for an agency that leads with transparency from the start — and honest communication with both clients and our internal team.

Our aim is to consistently offer deep work, build quality relationships, and contribute to your wild business success. We offer monthly retainers, which allow us to invest time and energy into understanding your brand and your business goals — and delivering the kind of results that will help you reach them. This also means we’re not the right fit if you’re looking for a one-off press release or social media post that you need yesterday.
Where we work
Our team members and partners live and work in and around Asheville and Raleigh NC. We all work remotely from home or from our favorite coffee shop (or tea spot). Plus we LOVE to catch up with our local team and clients around these beautiful cities.
We also work along side some of our clients and other small business owners at the gorgeous co-working space at Hatchworks in downtown Asheville and Loading Dock in Raleigh.
You’ll always know where to find us though — on the virtual world of ZOOM or Google Hangouts.
